Chef Vanessa
Over 20 years experience in the culinary industry. Chef Vanessa has cooked all over the world in kitchens big and small. She’s appeared on multiple Food Network Shows and local broadcasts. She’s taught children, teens and adults the tricks of her trade. Curated winemaker dinners for California’s finest labels. Donates her time for community events and just recently took home first place for her pasta dish at the Los Olivos Jazz and Olive Festival (Annual Rotary Charity)

Sous Chef
When the guest count goes above 25, we call in a Sous chef.

Servers
Our servers are trained to anticipate the needs of your guests. They are knowledgeable about menu items, event timing, 4 star steps of service and professional without being robotic. They are the best. Almost all catering gigs will need at least 1 server. Plated and coursed menus serving over 10 guests require more. Rule of thumb: 1 server per 10 guests for plated events. 1 server per station for service buffets.

FOOD!
Santa Ynez offers some of the finest vendors, grocers and farms a chef could ask for. Chef Vanessa uses local suppliers, grocery stores and farmers to bring the best of California cuisine to your plate. We do not mark up our food. All receipts are included with invoice.

RENTALS + EQUIPMENT
Chef Vanessa Catering services are happy to assist you with local rental company information. If your event requires we build a kitchen out of nowhere, we add 15% to the cost of rentals to do so.
Outdoor BBQ
Chef Vanessa cooks your menu in your kitchen OR in her catering kitchen in Buellton and brings it HOT to the site. Requests for her world class, live-fire menus does require a Santa Maria BBQ pit, a few prep tables and a shade tent.

Plates & Platters
Chef Vanessa specializes in ‘what’s on your plate’ rather than table top design but we do offer unique settings of collected thrift store plates, classic flatware and natural tone fabric napkins if needed.
